I love how encaustic wax smells. It’s sweet, like beeswax.

Here’s one of my favorite early original encaustic wax paintings. I painted this one in preparation for a demo/workshop I taught at Merion Art and Repro in Ardmore, PA. I really enjoy the quick fluid nature of encaustic wax paintings – and the hugely textural result.
